Full Accreditation Recommended for BHS
During the week of November 18, Baldwin High School was visited by the Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools (MSA) Validation Team as the final step in the Excellence by Design protocol for school re-accreditation. The Validation Team reviewed the High School's plan for adherence to the 12 MSA Standards, along with adherence to the requirements of the protocol and the quality of self-study. They also reviewed the plan for growth and improvement and offered an accreditation recommendation.
The administration and staff of Baldwin High School are pleased to announce that the team has unanimously recommended full accreditation to the Commission on Secondary Schools. The term of the accreditation is seven years (maximum term allowable) and includes annual updates, a mid-term report, and a follow-up site visit when deemed necessary or requested.
During his oral report to the staff, Samuel Bidelman (pictured), the chairperson of the Validation Team said, “We applaud your efforts, your dedication, and your engagement. You are gifted educators, and you teach talented students, and we want to let you know that you have made a significant difference here at Baldwin and a promise of an even better education for those students who will graduate in the future.” The administration and staff will remain ever vigilant in our efforts to make Baldwin High School an example of a successful public high school.
