Services: Gateway, a not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1972 by Abraham J. Twerski, MD, an internationally known author, lecturer, teacher and physician. It was opened as a 28-day abstinence-based alcohol and drug dependence treatment center. Now Gateway offers a variety of services in multiple locations but with the same compassionate and individualized approach as in our early years.
