Kindergarten Registration

If you and your family are new to our community, we welcome you to the district and look forward to enrolling your child or children into our schools! The following information will help you begin the online registration process and save time on your enrollment day.

Please note: If you already have a child who is currently enrolled in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, please log into Skyward Family Access and click on the New Student Online Enrollment tab in order to enroll your child who will be new to the district.

The registration process for children entering kindergarten in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District for the 2017-2018 contains three steps:

1. Complete online Pre-Registration through the Online Enrollment Portal.*

2. Schedule an appointment online at the end of pre-registration to meet with the Central Registrar between February 6 and March 24, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to submit:

  • Your child’s immunization records (If you do not have these records, please obtain a copy from your child’s doctor.)
  • Your child’s birth, baptismal, or hospital certificate
  • Your proof of residency (deed or lease agreement) and two of the following documents: current utility bill, current credit card bill, property tax bill, income tax return, or current bank statement.

3. Receive an assigned time through the Central Registrar to take your child to the school he/she will be attending for required screening.

STEP 1: Kindergarten Online Pre-Registration Instructions

Please read all instructions before accessing the pre-registration portal below.

  1. Fill out all information carefully, accurately and completely. Please be sure to click "Complete" after each step of the application. After all steps have been completed, you must click on the "Submit Application to District" button in order for your application to be processed.
  2. Schedule an appointment with Central Registration at the end of the online registration process to finalize your child’s enrollment by following this link: calendly.com/bwsdregistration

STEP 2: Kindergarten Registration Finalization

Kindergarten Finalization MUST occur at Baldwin High School, 4653 Clairton Boulevard, between February 6 and Wednesday, March 24, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Your child’s immunization records (If you do not have these records, please obtain a copy from your child’s doctor.)
  • Your child’s birth, baptismal, or hospital certificate
  • Your proof of residency (deed or lease agreement) and two of the following documents: current utility bill, current credit card bill, property tax bill, income tax return, or current bank statement.

Information packets will be distributed at the end of your appointment and a time will be assigned for you to take your child to the school he/she will be attending for required screening.

All steps must be completed by the primary parent and/or legal guardian. If the individual registering the child is not the child’s parent, that individual must provide appropriate, legal documentation showing dependency or guardianship.

  1. Fill out all information carefully, accurately and completely.
  2. Schedule an appointment with Central Registration by clicking on the button below ONLY AFTER completing the pre-registration process using Skyward. The meeting will take place at Baldwin High School located at 4653 Clairton Boulevard Pittsburgh PA 15236.

*For parents/guardians who do not have access to a computer, you may call 412-884-6300 ext.8062 to schedule a time to use registration kiosk.

The second step for the Student Registration process takes place at Baldwin High School. During your appointment you must provide the following required documentation:

  • State-issued Identification (i.e., Driver's License)
  • Proof of Residency Deed or lease and two of the following: Current utility bill, current credit card bill, tax statements, Department of Transportation driver's license or identification card, or vehicle registration.

  • Birth Certificate
  • Report Card/Transcript
  • Completed Authorization to Release Educational Records Form

*Documentation must be provided at time of enrollment or appointment will be rescheduled.
