Eagle
Scout Award
Dustin
Pawlicki, a senior at
Baldwin High School, earned his Eagle
Scout award. Dustin is a member of Troop
# 140. His service project was to clean,
widen, and service an existing trail
and storm drain located in Baldwin Township.
He also built a new natural woodlands
trail over a 5 - acre tract of land.
To mark the trail, Dustin used natural
products such as logs, trees, and rocks
and planted seasonal perennials at both
ends of the trail.
Baldwin High School sophomore, Andrew
Werkmeister received
his Eagle Award. His Eagle Project
consisted of planning, organizing and
managing the removal and replacement
of the trash containment unit at North
Zion Lutheran Church. Once the old
unit was removed, the project entailed
digging and forming a cement base 10
feet by 12 feet and setting the posts
into the cement base. Andrew then constructed
an eight foot high unit of treated
wood that is 10 feet by 10 feet with
a large entry and a locking latch.
Finally, the unit was stained to match
the color of the church. Andrew is
a member of Troop 339.
The
Eagle Scout award was earned by Baldwin High
School junior Carl
Westgren of Troop 338. Carl's
project was the removal of debris, fallen
trees, and trash from Saw Mill Run Creek.
