We would like to hold a 24-hour vigil and name-reading ceremony that would run from 8 am on Friday, March 26 until 8 am on Saturday March 27, 2021. We would need to use two classrooms (rooms 314 and 315 are mine and Mr. Barbano's) for this purpose. One room would be used for the actual presentation and the other for staging and preparation. We would have student and staff volunteers taking turns reading names at half-hour intervals (two readers at a time, safely distanced).
For the overnight hours (9pm-8am), we would have to use a lock-in approach, with approximately 16 students remaining overnight and taking turns reading the names. Mr. Barbano and I will be supervising, but other staff may volunteer to assist if they so desire.
Mr. Barbano and I, as well as our student leaders, would like to begin advertising to seek volunteer readers and would appreciate your input and support.
