The halls of Baldwin High School are being transformed into an art gallery for the month of January. Students in Studio Art 3 and 4 classes are creating art installations that adorn the spaces around the school.

Opening such a large space as a canvas has allowed student creativity to flourish. The installations include guerrilla art and installations that explore topics such as environmentalism, mental health, and youth grief. Each piece will include a short artist’s statement, inviting classmates to further reflect on and engage with the art. Nicole Flannery, Baldwin High School Art Teacher, shares, “Our Advanced Art Students have been diligently creating immersive and interactive Installation Art for temporary display all around Baldwin High School. I am extremely proud of their efforts and willingness to embrace this contemporary art form as a way to beautify a simple space or bring awareness to topics that personally effect them.”
