Shaun Tomaszewski, Principal of Baldwin High School, has been appointed a member of the Steering Committee for the Collaborative to Advance Science Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in K-12 Schools. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (The National Academies) was created to advise the nation, providing independent, objective advice to inform policy with evidence, sparking progress and innovation, and confronting challenging issues for the benefit of society.
The Steering Committee on which Tomaszewski will serve works to advance and advocate for effective science teaching and learning across the country in all of our schools. Tomaszewski’s work will focus on making recommendations for research and policy agendas that will then drive the work of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in this area.
Tomaszewski has served as Principal of Baldwin High School for 5 years and is also an officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
