Allegheny County Special Olympics Unified Indoor Bocce Championships Held at Baldwin High School

The fourth-annual Allegheny County Unified Indoor Bocce Championships were held at Baldwin High School on March 7th, 2018. At the games, students with and without disabilities compete together with the goal of promoting inclusion and acceptance. Each Unified Indoor Bocce team has a roster of between 6–8 players, half with and half without intellectual disabilities. At the Championship, the teams competed in one of two divisions and were grouped with teams of similar abilities.

A total of seventeen Unified Indoor Bocce teams, representing eight high schools from Allegheny County that are a part of the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Interscholastic Unified Sports® program, competed, culminating their Unified Bocce season. The Allegheny County high schools participating in the Unified Indoor Bocce Championships included: Avonworth, Baldwin, Carlynton, Elizabeth Forward, Fox Chapel Area, Moon Area, Mt. Lebanon and Shaler Area.
