Algebra I students completed an interactive activity with their Chromebooks. They used the website Desmos to be able to graph linear equations on the computer. When the students sent in an answer, they were shown the answers that 3 of their classmates had, so they were able to automatically get feedback from others in the class. For fun, they used the program to automatically give each student a fake name. So that way, students who were nervous about having their scores on the board would be protected because no one would know which fake name was whose.
Students in Mrs. Hausman's class used a GeoGebra site on their Chromebooks to simulate disk and washer methods in AP Calculus BC. They changed parameters to create new shapes and calculated the volume. This has really helped instruction on this difficult concept.
