Students at Baldwin High School have again enthusiastically come together to support those battling cancer through their annual Mini-THON. This year’s Mini-THON theme, Candy Crushing Cancer, brought together fun and purpose for an unforgettable night. Students participated in a variety of activities, including their new-by-popular-demand Ping Pong Tournament and Human Hungry, Hungry Hippos, as well as returning favorites like Basketball 3-on-3 and Badminton. Those who love high-energy competition competed in Dodgeball. For students who prefer non-sport options enjoyed bingo, laser tag, musical chairs, and face painting—there was something for everyone.

Most importantly, this celebration represented a year’s worth of fundraising efforts in support of the fight against childhood cancer. Baldwin High School teacher Leah Younkins shares, “We are so proud of our students’ dedication and grateful for the continued support of our families and community in helping us make a meaningful difference.” The event raised an outstanding $27, 039.64 to support those facing pediatric cancer.

Mini-THON is a student-run organization, based off of Penn State's Dance Marathon. All money raised goes to the Four Diamonds Fund, which supports childhood cancer research and support for families with kids with cancer.
