Students in Mr. Barbano's sixth- and seventh-grade classes are collaborating with the Baldwin Historical Society. Preserving Baldwin Borough's history is the main goal of the Baldwin Historical Society. Founded in 1997, their members have worked together to compile a massive amount of information about the area's history. Now, there is a need to implement the rich history of the area into our schools. Dr. Sandra Och, representative of the society, has collaborated with Mr. Barbano's classrooms by holding an essay contest to help students further understand the role vocations have played in Baldwin. The winner of the essay contest will receive a special certificate and recognition by the Baldwin Historical Society. Anyone interested in donating historical Baldwin items to the society can contact their President, Pat Lombardi.
