The annual HMS Turkey Trot took place on Wednesday, November 21st. All students of HMS had the opportunity to spend some time outside enjoying the brisk weather to take a little break from a routine school day. The PTSA sponsored popcorn and water for each student and Student Council provided a DJ for the outdoor entertainment.
Each grade-level got a chance to come inside and warm up as spectators of the student/staff volleyball game. No matter what the score said, the staff was no match for the eighth-grade girls volleyball team. The shortened school day and Turkey Trot activities also provided time to revisit Rachel's Challenge and to remind students of the importance of spreading kindness and compassion to others.
