On Wednesday, November 22nd, the HMS Student Council sponsored The Ninth-Annual Turkey Trot. This Harrison tradition was once again a huge success, as the students were physically active while working to give back to others! Students donated $2 in order to walk around the school grounds as many times as possible. A percentage of the money raised will be used to support families in our community and the drive for schools that have been impacted by the hurricanes this fall. A DJ entertained students as they walked around the school, and the HMS PTSA helped the students maintain their strength by providing popcorn. As part of the event, students were able to watch some of the HMS staff take on the girls' eighth-grade volleyball team. A special thanks to Mrs. Wells, Ms. Carlson, and STUCO for planning and organizing such fun event.
