The third-graders at Harrison Education Center read a story called, “Aero and Officer Mike” during their language arts classes. This nonfiction story taught us about the partnership between police officers and K-9s. We were fortunate enough to have Whitehall Police Officer Terry Bradford bring his K-9 partner, Finn, for an assembly.  The students learned how Officer Bradford and Finn work together as police partners and best friends! The children especially enjoyed when Finn demonstrated how to track down items with his powerful sense of smell.  The assembly concluded with a question and answer session and students had the opportunity to pet Finn.
