Our fourth-grade students recently completed an exciting Engineering and Design unit as part of their new science curriculum. Faced with a real-world challenge—a woman with limited hand mobility needing a hands-free flashlight for camping—students worked collaboratively to brainstorm, design, and pitch creative solutions. Along the way, they explored key scientific concepts such as electric circuits, switches, insulators, and conductors. Their innovation and teamwork truly lit up the classroom!
