Mrs. Grasser’s math classes take learning math into their own hands! Both Ms. McGrady’s and Mrs. Grasser’s math class worked in collaborative groups after diving into the book The World According to Humphrey to create their blueprints for Humprehy’s cage. As students worked in groups on finding the area of each section of Humprehy’s cage within given parameters, they designed what they envisioned inside each room. The students just loved working in their groups and Mrs. Grasser loved their creativity!
In science, students had the opportunity to learn all about force in motion as it pertains to mass. Students worked collaboratively in groups and pushed golf balls and ping pong balls down the new hallways of Lutz Elementary to see which ball traveled the farthest. Students then came together after they experimented to see why the golf ball traveled farther than the ping pong ball. They learned mass matters! It was a MASSively fun time!
