Students Discuss Healthy Choices

In Ms. Robinson’s fifth-grade classroom, students recently engaged in an inspiring week of D.A.R.E. lessons led by Officer Robbie. Throughout the week, they explored critical topics such as the dangers of drugs and alcohol, the impact of peer pressure, and the importance of addressing bullying. The students learned essential skills for saying “No” and developed strategies to stand up in challenging situations.

One of the highlights of the program was the role-playing activities, which allowed students to practice their responses to real-life scenarios. This hands-on approach not only boosted their confidence but also equipped them with practical tools for making responsible choices. After a great week, students wrote reflection essays explaining what they learned and how they will use their new knowledge to make responsible decisions.
