First graders at McAnnulty participated in a web quest to explore facts about arctic animals!   Students collaborated to create focus questions to guide their research. During the web quest, students worked with partners to track their facts by using various websites such as PebbleGo, National Geographic Kids, Epic, and Kiddle.

Once research was complete, students began using the writing process steps to plan and write their Informative paragraphs about arctic animals. Detailed sentences were easy to write with so many new facts learned. Google Jamboard is this year’s favorite class digital app, so learners used the app to create slideshows they have shared with their families!
