Students Develop Motor Skills in Physical Education Class

Students at McAnnulty Elementary School are hard at work honing their hand-eye coordination and foot-eye coordination during physical education classes. Students are able to work in small groups and move through twelve amazing stations. With only three minutes at each station, students try to master each area and compete against others in their group.

Stations that focus on hand-eye coordination are balance feathers, cornhold throw, skee-ball, and bean bag catapults. Stations focusing on foot eye coordination range from soccer bowling, balance mazes, scooter racing, and foam stilts. Students also have the opportunity to use trampolines, balance beams, and balance “snowboards.” These skills translate to abilities that serve students in daily life.
