Students at McAnnulty Elementary are grateful to our local first responders! Kindergarten art students from Mrs. Thornton’s class shared their messages of gratitude. After reading the story A Hero Like You by Nikki Rogers, students discussed the services that our local police, firefighters, and EMS personnel provide to our community every day. The children were quick to point out all of the wonderful and selfless acts that each group performs on a daily basis. Mrs. Palumbo encouraged her kindergarten artists to create illustrations that express their thoughts
and feelings about our local heroes.
Messages will be sent to Baldwin Borough Police Department, Baldwin EMS, and Baldwin Fire Station 105 to express our sincere appreciation for all they do to protect and serve our community. The great sacrifices of all of our first responders are recognized and appreciated by our school community and even our youngest students.
