Six students from the Baldwin-Whitehall School District won in the Allegheny County Children's Court "What my family means to me" poster contest. Megan Harris (5th), Emmy Cready (5th), Mackenzie Stout (5th), Parker Connell (2nd), Daenerys Morales-Torres (K), and Honestly Ojah (K) all created posters showcasing love and togetherness. Judge Katheryn Hens-Greco presented the artwork at an awards ceremony held downtown at the Children's Court Building. The contest received over 300 entries from 17 schools. Three winners were selected from each grade K–8 by the judges of the Children's Court division. Winning students received a copy of their poster, a certificate, and a family zoo pass. All of the posters that were submitted will be hanging in the Allegheny County Children's Court for the next few weeks. The winners were given the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a judge by letting them sit in the judge's chair, in a courtroom, and bang the gavel.
