Students in Mrs. O'Hare's Kindergarten class went on a cross-curricular Three Little Pig adventure. Students first listened to the story The Three Little Pigs and talked about the characters and setting of the story. Students then sequenced the story and were able to retell what happened. Next, students pretended that they were one of the little pigs in the story that needed to build a house. They worked with their peers to design a house that the wolf would be unable to knock down. After the blueprints were made, students were given notecards and tape and began construction of their house. Finally, the wolf (blow dryer) came to class and huffed and puffed trying to knock their houses down.
