Meet Alumna Avery Pasquale

Baldwin High School alumna Avery Pasquale (class of 2022) is pursuing a career that will unite her love of sports and leadership. She explains, “Sports have always been a huge area of interest for me, which began in highschool. Penn State gave me the opportunity to start taking some sports business classes, and I immediately knew that was the route I wanted to take.” Pasquale is earning her Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications with a minor in Digital Media Trends and Analytics at Penn State University. “My plans are to work in the sports industry, hopefully doing some social media management,” says Pasquale. Over the summer, she will hone her skills through an internship with the YD-Red Sox, a minor league baseball team in Cape Cod.

Pasquale is grateful for the robust foundation her time in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District gave her. Pasquale shares, “The BWSD gave me every single opportunity to live a successful life. The teaching staff at Baldwin is so incredibly special to me, and it is such a wonderful feeling to know I have a family in my corner at all times. Any time I come home and see one of my past teachers, coaches, or administrators, they welcome me with open arms and make me feel so loved. Specifically, Mr. Christopher Reilsono and his family have been such a light in my life. Since my freshman year running for a class officer position, they supported me all throughout high school, and continue to do so to this day. The administrative staff at Baldwin has always rooted for me and they have been such a safe space for me. It is incredibly rare to find so many people who would root for you in any scenario, and I am so incredibly blessed that my teachers and administrators shaped me into who I am, and continue to support me. The staff at Baldwin care so deeply about the education and lives of their students, and that to me is the most important thing when it comes to building confidence and success in a kid’s life and future. Baldwin continues to be my home and my outlet when I need confidence or support.”

She encourages current students to take full advantage of experiences in the District. “My advice to any BHS students is to take every opportunity given to you, and to make an effort at all times. Your years in high school truly shape you into who you are, and it is so important to make the most of the time you have. It is important to take every opportunity that comes your way while you have so much support surrounding you. Your teachers, coaches, and administrators are here for you and want you to succeed!” Pasquale says.
