Randal A. Lutz, Ed.D.

Dr. Randal Lutz is in his thirteenth year as the Superintendent of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before assuming his current role, Dr. Lutz served in several other leadership roles in the District as middle school vice principal, principal, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, and assistant superintendent. Prior to joining Baldwin-Whitehall, Dr. Lutz began his teaching career in the Bethel Park School District as a teacher of students in third and fifth grades.

Dr. Lutz received his Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed his graduate studies with both a Master of Education Degree and a Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Administration.

As a proud Highlander from the Class of 1986, Dr. Lutz lives in the Borough of Baldwin with his wife, Judy, who is also from the Class of 1986. Their two daughters, Carly (Class of 2016) and Jenna (Class of 2020), are also proud Baldwin High School alumni.
