Dr. Randal Lutz has been recognized as a Smart 50 Awards honoree for his strategic and forward-looking leadership of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. Smart 50 Awards – in partnership with Smart Cities Connect and Smart Cities Connect Foundation – annually recognize global smart cities projects, honoring the most innovative and influential work. Honorees represent innovative projects with current or future municipal-scale impact and application.

The Baldwin-Whitehall School District is a growing community, with many families moving to the District because of the robust education. Dr. Lutz’s leadership has sought to strengthen the offerings, with such programs as College in High School, Fly Like a Girl drone pilot program, and the addition of an esports program, while maintaining the character and traditions that make the community great. “This honor is a celebration of our community and our District. I am one part of an outstanding team of educators and staff members who serve our students and their families,” shared Lutz. Honorees will be recognized at Smart 50 Awards luncheon banquet on November 29th, 2023.
