Dr. Janeen Peretin, Director of Communication, Innovation, and Advancement for the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, has been honored as a 2024 CIO of the Year Finalist by the Pittsburgh Technology Council. The only awardee from K-12 education, Dr. Peretin was recognized for being a Tech Trailblazer.

The theme of this year’s awards is Level Up and Dr. Peretin’s leadership has accelerated the growth of students in the district through innovative use of technology in our schools. Dr. Randal Lutz, Superintendent of Schools, shared, “Our district is grateful to have Dr. Peretin. Her forward-thinking strategy and insightful leadership benefits our students everyday, ensuring they have the 21-century skills they need to succeed.”

Honorees will be celebrated with an awards ceremony in Downtown Pittsburgh on April 18th.
