One Big Brother Starts Every Day with Kindness — And Was Featured by Good Morning America

Two special brothers have a routine to start the morning off right, with compassion and kindness. Nathan Brose, a student at McAnnulty Elementary School, has learning differences and sometimes finds it rough to start the day. His older brother, Thomas, helps to ease the transition by taking Nathan by the hand and walking with him to his classroom. Once the boys arrive at Nathan’s classroom, his older brother takes time to admire Nathan’s work before waving goodbye and heading to his own classroom down the hall.

Tricia Fusco, Principal at McAnnulty Elementary, shares, “In talking with Mrs. Brose, she feels that having Thomas walk Nathan to class really sets the tone for a positive day for him. I know that it does the same for Thomas! On the days when Nathan is having trouble, when I see Thomas in the hall, he will stop and ask me if Nathan is having a better day! He cares so much about his little brother!”
