District Holiday Cookie Extravaganza for Senior Citizens Brings the Community Together

On Friday, December 14th, the Baldwin-Whitehall School District hosted the Second-Annual Holiday Cookie Extravaganza. Students, employees, and volunteers from the community baked dozens of cookies that were shared with local seniors as an expression of gratitude for their important roles in our communities and our lives.

The events provides an opportunity for members of the community to connect across generations. In addition to taking home some tasty treats, seniors were able to meet students, enjoy holiday music performances, and tour the school. The event was attended by over 130 seniors, doubling the number from the previous year. Clearly word has gotten out about this festive event!

Special thanks to the bakers and event team, BHS teachers, administration, board members, students, and performers for their great work.
