The Baldwin Borough Library has received a $500,000 grant from the Commonwealth for their library renovation project. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on August 17th that the Baldwin Borough Public Library was awarded a $500,000 grant to support the library's renovation of the Leland Center in Baldwin Borough as the library's new home.
In his announcement Governor Wolf said, "Public libraries are essential to quality of life and civic education in our communities and I am proud to work with Baldwin Borough and Senator Brewster to expand the offerings and size of this important part of their community."
Members of the community can support the new program through the Buy-A-Brick program. Technology and Marketing Librarian Pam Calfo shares, "through the Baldwin Library's 'Buy a Brick' program, you can be part of an enduring legacy." Commemorative bricks can be purchased for a limited time to recognize a special person, honor a loved one, or celebrate a special occasion. Bricks are available at a cost of $300 each, and can be inscribed with the name of an individual or individuals, family or business, or a phrase of up to 3 lines of 18 characters in length. For more information, visit the library's website.
