Whitehall Elementary kicked off an exciting new tradition this fall with the introduction of our Monday Morning Mascot. Each Monday, our very own Whitehall Highlander, Mrs. Stretavski, welcomes students and staff as they arrive at school. Dressed in Highlander plaid, she greets buses and car riders with smiles, high-fives, and encouragement to start the week with school spirit.
This new tradition also reinforces our PBIS expectations of being Kind, Safe, Respectful, and Ready to Learn. By beginning each week with positive energy, we set the tone for success in classrooms and beyond.
In the coming months, students will have the opportunity to join the fun. Those earning Bee Tickets for demonstrating positive behaviors during arrival and dismissal will place their tickets in a special bus bin located in the lobby. Each week, one ticket will be drawn, and the lucky student will have the chance to dress up as the Whitehall Highlander and help Mrs. Stretavski greet buses on Monday morning.
Don’t worry, car riders! A special mascot will be joining the car rider team for the same exciting opportunity!
We are excited to watch this tradition grow and look forward to seeing our students step into the role of Highlander mascot, spreading school pride while celebrating the positive choices they make every day.
