Solid Scientific Sculptures
Second-grade scientists from Mrs. Jeffrey’s, Mr. Myers’, Mrs. Proctor’s, and Ms. Martin’s classes are learning about properties of solids and liquids. They created sculpture projects at home with help from their families. The goal was to look around their homes, take ordinary household items, and reuse them in creative ways. They collected things like paper towel or toilet paper rolls, paper plates, buttons, socks, string, egg cartons, plastic cups, plastic bottles, fabric, and paper and used them in extraordinary ways! They displayed their hard work and creativity in a “Walk Through Sculpture Museum” for all to enjoy.
