The fifth-grade students of Whitehall Elementary recently participated in a service project to support Baldwin's very own Mikayla Davic. Mikaya has spent the last several years writing and producing musicals to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. These fifth-graders accepted the challenge with great effort and pride. Students completed a service for a loved one at home for a set donation. All monies collected were then brought to school in order to help support "Mik's Wish." Raking leaves, washing dishes, and assisting community organizations were just some of the creative ideas generated by the students. Photos from parents poured in as the children demonstrated their active participation with this great cause. On December 13th the students surprised Mikayla with a check in the amount of $730. The students were happy to be a part of the chain reaction, spreading kindness. Watch their kindness in action.
