Student Helps His Peers Succeed

Roman, a fourth-grade student from Whitehall Elementary, has found a way to help his peers bridge the gap between their understanding of the English language in Mrs. Delon's Social Studies class. On any given day during their allotted intervention time, Roman can be seen sitting with children from his homeland of Nepal. Roman is able to speak to these beginning English language learners, in their native language, in order to help them better understand the concepts and tasks within the Social Studies curriculum. Roman took this initiative and is emerging as a leader among his peers. The collaboration between peers is uplifting and inspiring for both students and teachers.
