During the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference hosted by the District, some fifth-grade students from Mrs. Bonacorso's class at Whitehall Elementary School had the opportunity to work with other students from the District and teachers from around the area. They participated in a hands-on learning experience presented by BirdBrain Technologies, a Pittsburgh-based company that helps incorporate engineering and robotics into the classroom. This unique opportunity enabled students and teachers to learn alongside one another to code and program using a Hummingbird Robotics Kit. They worked collaboratively to design and program a robot that responds when given a high five. Through this experience, it was difficult to differentiate the students from the teachers!
