Jump Rope for Hearts Kicks off with The American Heart Association

Adam Mindach from The American Heart Association presented an assembly at Paynter Elementary School on Friday, February 2nd, to kick off the annual Jump Rope For Hearts initiative. He spoke to the students regarding heart healthy habits. Milana Winowich, a fifth-grade student who was named the American Heart Association Junior Ambassador" spoke to the whole student body at the assembly. Milana has raised over $4,000 over the past three-years for The American Heart Association. Milan told the students how—and why—she raised the money. She also encouraged the students to participate in the many learning-opportunities that student can participate in online. Paynter Elementary School has been one of the top fundraisers among the schools in Allegheny County for the Jump Rope For Hearts event. The school hopes to match last year's fundraising total of $16,000.
