Did you know the word LEGO is derived from a Danish phrase that means "play well"? Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Information and Instructional Technology Department Staff—Dr. Janeen Peretin, Mr. Brian Durica
and Mr. David Green, and —the students at Paynter Elementary School are going to be playing very well with the latest addition of a LEGO Table to the Library Media Center. All of the construction materials were donated by Lowe's and the Legos were generously donated by the Assistant Superintendent, Denise Sedlacek. The finishing touch is a vinyl wrap that was made in the District's Fab Lab.
The Lego Table seats up to 25 students and can be signed out by teachers to use at their discretion. No matter what the task, students have opportunities to use their imagination and be creative during the design process. The Lego Table meets the needs of all learners, regardless of their ability. When working with Legos, the possibilities are endless!
