Students Explore the Movement of the Sun

The first nine-weeks of school have provided many exciting learning experiences for room 141.

Science seems to be a student favorite. Students have just finished a unit on Sun, Moon, and Earth where they investigated topics such rotation and revolution, how shadows are affected by the position of the sun, and why there are seasons. The students made detailed drawings of their observations in their notebooks. They collected data on the movement of the sun during the day and the length of their shadows as the sun moved throughout the day. They then displayed the information in a bar graph.
